- Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City at Kaliakoir, Gazipur is planned to be developed by 2017 to facilitate local Technopreneurs and Multi National technology based companies.
- In this objective, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) under Ministry of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology was established in 2010. BHTPA is now responsible for the establishment and supervising the development of all Hi-Tech Parks within the country.
- Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City will be built and developed in DBFOOT basis (Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate and Transfer) under PPP (Public Private Partnership) model.
- BHTPA had selected two private park developers through 2-stage competitive international bidding process where RFP was held on September 2014 for 4 blocks of the Park.
- In that bid, Bangladesh and Malaysian led Bangladesh Technosity Limited had been awarded for Block-03 of Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City through signing Concession Agreement with BHTPA on 11 August 2015.
